From the Desk of Associate Dean and Principal

College of Food Technology under Vasantrao Naik Marathwada Krishi Vidyapeeth, Parbhani was established in1976 at Parbhani. During this 40 years journey, the college has produced large number of students who have made a mark in the society through their academic and professional achievements. The college began with an intake capacity of 32 for B.Tech (Food Technology) and today the college annually admits 64 under graduate, 15 post graduate and 05 doctoral students. Since establishment College of Food Technology, VNMKV, Parbhani has produced more than 1574 graduates.

This was one of the earliest food technology colleges established under ICAR-SAU system in the country. The alumni of the College of Food Technology have established themselves in different fields like food processing industry, food safety and quality assessment, entrepreneurship development, teaching and research and civil services both in the State and Central Government and brought recognition to their alma mater. Several of the earlier graduates are now in driving positions in leading corporate organizations shaping the food processing policy in the country. With the Government of India and State Governments giving high priority to food processing sector, I have no doubt that the students of our college will have bright future.
